theres an extension that makes other extensions compatible with new versions of fx, it’s called Nightly tester tools

You can bypass firefox’s checks by setting extensions.checkCompatibility to false in about:config.

Thanks! This was exactly what I was looking for. Back mouse gesture is all I really need so this will do just fine until the official release of FF 3.

Try using Firefox 3 beta 5, there are many benefits to using it. all in one gestures should just work for Firefox 2, that’s why I’m suggesting you try Fx3.

Hey all! Here is the fix I came up with.

Step 1)
Before upgrading I had all-in-one gestures installed. In Firefox 3 go to about:config
Right click and add new boolean. Name it: extensions.checkCompatibility
then set it to false.

Close browser doesn’t work if you use Down Right gesture so go to tools->add-ons
Select Mouse Gestures and click options. In the general tab click “Edit Gestures”. Go to browser in window type and select “DR Close Document”. Click Edit. Change Function type to Custom. Gesture Name = Close Doc Fix. Custom JavaScript code: window.close();

That’s it. You win.

PS. Right Left Right still works with no mods. :)

Thanks it worked great! I installed it after I had started up beta 5, and it still used my settings from 2.x. No reconfiguration required!

In order to get scrollwheel text zoom to work in Firefox 3:
Update this file in your extensions folder for AIO
content\allinonegest\gestimp.js

Lines 42 and 43:
["getBrowser().mCurrentBrowser.markupDocumentViewer.textZoom -= .1", "g.zoomIn", 1, "31"], // 30
["getBrowser().mCurrentBrowser.markupDocumentViewer.textZoom += .1", "g.zoomOut", 1, "30"], // 31

Preferences Change:
Forward Scrollwheel gesture to: Increase Text Size
Backward Scrollwheel gesture to: Decrease Text Size

I thought you might like to know that the author has released version 0.19 that IS compatible with Firefox 3. It is available on his website http://pagesperso-orange.fr/marc.boullet/ext/extensions-en.html, although it has not been updated on the Mozilla extensions page yet.
